My plate racks finally came, and while they are probably too small, I like them! The wall looks a little busy too with all of the plates in one general place....I think they would have been better spread out across the top like a border. Oh well, too late now! I do love them..they are so pretty up close! Oh, and did I mention it was 73 here today? (HA...I'm throwing that in for my Dad and Joel, and I'm sure they're getting sick of me :) )
I have spring fever! It was in the lower 50's today, and supposed to be 60 tomorrow! Woohoo! Maybe I can open the windows and de-germ my house. Grace and Matt stayed home from school today, but both are better. They should be ok for school tomorrow...it's amazing how quickly kids bounce back. While I was thinking of how happy I was that everyone was on the mend, the school nurse calls me to say that Tyler is in her office with a 101.3 degree temp. :( Hopefully his will be a quick flu bug too. I let Grace and Matt go outside for a while this afternoon, I think a little fresh air did them good. Our backyard looks like a Webkinz graveyard...Lucy has been dragging them out all winter and when the snow melted I counted 12 Webkinz lying about! Crazy dog.
Ok, new kitchen paint I guess. Rich and I painted the kitchen Sunday...it's a light sage green called 'Song of Summer'. I planned it around the bird plates my Grandma gave me a long time ago. I always sort of chuckled at the bird plates, until I took them out again recently and realized that they are really pretty! There are 12 different ones, and I ordered 4 vertical plate racks (3 plates on each) that will hang under the shelves. I'm waiting on the plate racks, a couple of shelf knickknacks, and the window treatments to come in the mail. We installed a new pendant light fixture today too! I think it will look nice once it's all pulled together!
