Ben's better, Matt's worse, and SNOW
Ben has finally turned a corner and feels better. Now Matt has it :(. 102.4 degree temp this evening. I guess he won't be playing in the bball tourney in Adel tomorrow...sad because 1)he really really wants to play, and 2)his team will only have 6 players for 2 games and 5 players for the last game. Darn it all. We're hoping maybe it will be postponed anyway because as of 6:36 pm we have 6 blasted inches of snow! Here is the same swing Grace was swinging on yesterday:

Ben is STILL home from school
Ugh, this is the virus that never ends!! He is feeling better for the most part, and as of early this morning I was going to send him to school. But after he got up he was in the bathroom 3 times before we left, so we decided to keep him home. They already don't have school tomorrow for conferences, so he'll be home for the whole week. He's going stir crazy though, he looks bored out of his mind. Maybe we'll go to Blockbuster and get some movies today.
Oh, and my Minnesota and North Dakota people that I was bragging to the other day....we're supposed to get over 6 inches of snow tomorrow, so we'll be miserable again before you know it LOL!!

61 degrees
And I know everyone is dying to know how my first night of CPAP went (ha). It went well! It was better than the night in the sleep center, for sure. I didn't really wake up until 4:00 am, and was up from 4-5 with Ben who was up and down to the bathroom a bunch of times. He's feeling better, but still has that nasty diarreah stuff. He and Grace have dentist appointments this morning, and Ben will stay home one more day. I hate the flu.

Grace is better, Ben is worse
Both stayed home from school today. Grace is still a little warm, but is bouncing all over the place, so I think she feels better. Ben started feeling bad yesterday with a headache, then sore arms and legs. During the night he threw up, and today it's been coming from the other end :(. Poor baby is just laying on the couch so listless.
On a good note I get my CPAP machine tomorrow!! I'm going to try and remain positive about the CPAP LOL...it'll take some getting used to, but in the end it will be worth it.

Tyler's birthday party
I have an almost *gulp* 16 year old! Ack! Tyler's birthday is on the twelfth, but we celebrated at Grandma and Don's today. He got some cold hard cash, a keychain with his name on it (with no keys LOL), and a special picture handdrawn by his loving sister. Oh, and he got a car....a black Hot Wheel on his cake :).
Basketball, Warm Weather, and Sick Girl
Yesterday Matt's basketball team had a tournament at Southeast Polk. Unfortunately, they went 0-4. Poor guys, they really do try hard (most of the time :) ). This was the kid Matt got to guard :(...hard to get rebounds beside that, isn't it?:
Before one of our games, the Ames Wolves played against a Creston team. The Athletic Director of Iowa State, Jamie Pollard, has a son that plays on the Ames team....we sat by him while we waited for our game to start. I pretended to take a picture of Rich, and focused in on Rich's new BFF Jamie Pollard instead :). He even asked Rich a question at one point in the game. He was texting on his phone practically the whole time he was sitting there...I guess an AD never rests.

You can see Rich working the scoreboard in this one LOL.
Poor Gracie is sick. She and Ben had a big day yesterday with Grandma and Don. They went to the 9:40 bball game with us, then went over to Grandma's. Ben had a bday party to go to from 1-4:30, and then Grandma took them to Fun Night at their school. When she got home last night she felt warm, and today has a 103 degree temp and actually took a NAP this afternoon...amazing! Hopefully it's just a little bug and will pass soon!
It was in the 50's yesterday, woohoo! I scraped all the ice off the driveway finally, and a lot of our snow melted. Do you see what I see in this picture?? That's right, it's grass!

Non-Positional Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Is my official diagnosis. I went to the Iowa Sleep Disorders clinic for a sleep study a few weeks ago, and my results were in yesterday. Apparently I wake up 95 times per hour, stop breathing 26 times per hour, and NEVER go into REM sleep. No wonder I'm always tired LOL. I have to go back for another overnight sleep study on Friday so they can get the air pressure set correctly on the CPAP machine, which I will now be wearing whenever I sleep. I've heard great things about the results of the machine though, so I'm hoping it will completely change my sleeping habits. Yay for technology!
